About the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent planning, The Specialists Projects Coordinator is responsible for developing, maintaining and communicating preparation plans for projects related to processing plant expansions and improvement opportunities.
This role is responsible for monitoring project readiness and assisting area Superintendents in delivering outcomes of such projects.
Success in the role is enabled through leveraging an integrated, standardised work processes using standardised work practices.
This position is fly in fly out from Perth to Mt Keith Mine, on a 5:2, 4:3 rotation with occasional work from our Perth office.
Responsibilities include:
- Liaising with external consultants on project scope and definition as assigned.
- Providing support to the Processing Superintendents team on non-core business activity.
- Reviews all work to be considered in capital submission and communicates and seeks endorsement of submission.
- Assist with 5YP Budget preparation.
- Reviews assigned contract management assignments for integrated contractor management.
- Arranges specialist or external resources to support the completion of consultant services.
- Liaises closely with Superintendents team on improvement board actions that are above team level ability to implement.
- Liaises with Engineering and Major Projects to understand their projects, impacts to current project assigned.
- Provides support to business growth with alignment to BOS routines and improvements.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have strong communication, relationship building and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to continuously changing work environments.
In addition you will possess the following skillset:
- Business management, Engineering degree or extensive knowledge of large business processes is desirable.
- Technical understanding of project management.
- Specific knowledge of capital projects.
- Strong computer skills and or technical skills an advantage.
- Ability to lead within a peer group and client groups, using influencing skills to resolve problems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Task oriented, with a bias to automation.
- Awareness of Cost Management and Forecasting Processes.
