About the role 

We are looking for a Specialist Rehabilitation Planning to help the Rehabilitation & Closure Planning team develop progressive rehabilitation schedules and execution-ready designs that can be integrated into business planning processes. Reporting to the Principal Rehabilitation Planning, you will work with operational, environmental, closure, engineering and mine planning teams to develop rehabilitation strategies, plans and designs that support rehabilitation commitments and long-term closure objectives.

What you’ll be doing 

Reporting to the Principal Rehabilitation Planning and working across the Rehabilitation & Closure Planning team, you will: 

• Develop and maintain rehabilitation schedules across short, medium and long-term planning horizons. 

• Prepare and coordinate rehabilitation earthworks plans and execution-ready design packages. 

• Support annual business planning, rehabilitation funding and portfolio development. 

• Partner with mine planning, environment, operations and closure teams to identify and prioritise rehabilitation opportunities. 

• Coordinate technical studies, consultant inputs and design deliverables. 

• Support rehabilitation approvals, governance requirements and design reviews. 

• Monitor rehabilitation progress and provide planning insights that support delivery targets and decision-making. 

• Develop and implement improvement opportunities and innovative solutions that strengthen rehabilitation outcomes and reduce risk.

Required for Success 

• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team. 

• Experience in mine planning, rehabilitation planning, closure planning, civil earthworks, environmental projects or a related field. 

• Demonstrated planning and scheduling capability across multiple time horizons. 

• Experience managing technical projects and competing priorities in a complex operational environment. 

• Ability to interpret technical, operational and environmental information and translate it into practical recommendations. 

• Experience engaging multidisciplinary stakeholders and communicating planning decisions clearly. 

Helpful for Success 

• Experience with mining, earthworks or landform design projects. 

• Knowledge of rehabilitation and closure practices within the resources industry. 

• Experience using mine planning, geographic information systems or design software. 

• Understanding of environmental approvals, rehabilitation governance and contractor or consultant management.
