About the Role

Reporting to the Superintendent – Maintenance Reliability for Surface Mining Equipment (SME), you will help drive continuous improvement, defect elimination, and ensure the maintenance program for the SME is delivered successfully. You will be responsible to provide specialist advice, analyse maintenance performance and implement improvement initiatives.

  • The role is site based at Nickel West Mt Keith on a 5/2, 4/3 FIFO roster ex Perth.

In this role you will:

  • Demonstrate strong safety values by supporting the Field Leadership program to lead continuous safety improvement and performance.
  • Identify and manage reliability risks that could affect our fleet or business operations.
  • Monitor and analyse equipment defects and maintenance downtime to support teams in prioritising tasks.
  • Lead Reliability-centred maintenance best practice, identifying and driving Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve Equipment Availability.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the Maintenance team(s).
  • Develop action plans that comply with demands for safe, reliable Maintenance and repair of Equipment.

About Mt Keith

Mt Keith is located 460 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in the Northern Goldfields. It is a surface mining operation with an open pit and concentrator plant. The operation is surrounded by pastoral stations, with the nearest townships being Leinster and Wiluna. There’s plenty to keep you entertained in the Mt Keith Village. Take the heat off the day and head to the pool, fully equipped gym or play a round of golf on the new golf simulators. Theme night dinners are regularly held and other social activities include quiz nights. Employees commute to and from Perth on a fly in / fly out roster or form regional areas on a drive in / drive out roster.

About You

  • A commitment to health, safety, environment and the community.
  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent trade & industry experience to support the role.
  • Proficiency in 1SAP is preferable.
  • A team-oriented mindset and solution focused attitude.
  • Ability to influence, engage with & communicate effectively across multiple levels, business units and functional areas.
  • Operational knowledge of Mining Equipment.
