About the Role
We are seeking a Reliability Specialist (Risk) in our Mine Mobile Fleet Reliability Team to provide specialist support to the maintenance function.
Reporting to the Reliability Superintendent and supporting the Mine Mobile Maintenance Department, this role will help to drive improvements in risk, health, safety, compliance, performance and culture within Mobile Maintenance and the wider Mine area.
This position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on a 5/2 (Monday to Friday) roster, with residential or FIFO options out of Adelaide available.
In this role you will:
- Contribute to the analysis, monitoring, benchmarking and internal audit of Maintenance function’s end-to-end performance
- Complete Material risk and Critical control evaluations
- Coordinate the identification and implementation of improvement initiatives
- Build cross-functional relationships within the Business and benchmark performance with other BHP Operations
- Review, update and produce operating standards, procedures and work instructions
- Investigate reported events which meet the Business/ Asset-defined risk threshold
- Provide expertise to the Execution sub-function to support work quality and safe execution of maintenance work
- Provide oversight, input and develop the training strategies, training matrix, content and schedule for the Mobile Maintenance Department
About You
- Experience in management of risk, assurance and compliance activities
- Experience in the resources, energy or industrial sectors
- Experience facilitating investigations, risk assessments and following a management of change (MOC) process
- Demonstrated attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to manage relationships and communicate well across multiple levels and disciplines
- Experience in facilitation, coaching and mentoring
- A formal qualification in a relevant field (i.e. risk management, safety, training, engineering) is desirable but not mandatory
