Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs.About the roleWe are looking for a Specialist Risk and Capital to join the Brockman 4 Operational Excellence team to manage and coordinate the operational Risk and Capital portfolios. You will be responsible for providing technical assistance, support, and expert advice on capital, risk and governance practices across to the operations. Includes developing, coaching and mentoring other professionals and supporting the decision-making processes of leadership.You’ll be a part of a friendly and passionate team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team.
Reporting to the Operational Excellence Manager, and working in a supportive and collaborative environment, you will be:
Supporting the Management team through business planning cycles (including the annual plan), providing analytical support and insight on risk, capital, and the productivity program’s profile across the operations
Driving the capital and risk process and assist in removing roadblocks to execution
Engaging with leaders and partners to integrate risk into operational decision-making and core business processes including investment in projects, planning and assurance activities
Encouraging proactive management of risks to the benefit of the business through monitoring overall risk owner performance, overall status of material risks, control effectiveness, action management, facilitating divisional risk reviews and escalating issues as required
Developing, governing, and coordinating the divisional annual and 5-year Capital Portfolio
Effectively prioritising capital and completing accurate forecasting
Actively developing the risk and capital acumen of site, leaders, and champions
Working closely with various capital stakeholders, providing guidance, reporting on status and coordinating the governance of the capital portfolio
Supporting the site’s productivity program (PDP)
Champion and govern the Management of Change (MOC) process providing coaching and support as required
What you'll bring

Highly effective organisational, time management, problem-solving and analytical skills
Proven ability to communicate new ideas, influence stakeholders and manage conflict
Ability to work both autonomously and within a team
A degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field will be highly regarded
A high level of computer literacy including developing, automating, and managing spreadsheets, reports, and the ability to learn new software
Current C Class driver’s license (manual)

Where You'll Be Working Brockman 4 Operations is located on the lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama and Pinikura and Muntulgura Guruma Peoples in the eastern Pilbara, approximately 60 kilometres from Tom Price. Originally part of Greater Brockman, operations began in 2010 for the Brockman 4 deposit.Brockman 4 moves approximately 150 million tonnes of material per year. There are 3 villages that are part of the operations, Brockman 4, West Pilbara and Nammuldi Village.This role is for applicants residing in or willing to permanently relocate to Western Australia.
