About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Specialist Site Improvement to join the Blackwater Mine site Improvement team.
This role will be responsible for the successful identification and execution of improvement projects across all departments in priority areas of safety, culture, productivity and cost at Blackwater Mine. You will be part of a high performing team, responsible for leading change to allow Blackwater Mine to improve performance and achieve our long-term vision.
Reporting to the Superintendent Site Improvement, your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying, framing, scheduling and managing key improvement projects, spanning across all departments in alignment with site priorities.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to remove barriers to improvement, influencing site leadership team on short- and long-term strategies to enhance performance.
- Coaching in continuous improvement from the frontline through to senior site leadership.
- Support site departments to drive and manage their portfolio of improvement initiatives.
- Data analytics to provide insights to site leaders to identify performance gaps and focus improvements in highest-impact areas.
- Reporting and presenting on key KPIs to site management teams.
About You
You are a self-motivated individual with strong project and stakeholder management skills. You are a strategic and analytical thinker with demonstrated ability to identify improvement opportunities and solve problems at the root cause. You have an excellent ability to collaborate across teams and bring energy to interactions at work.
In addition, we are looking for the following:
- Engineering, Finance, Business or similar qualification (advantageous but not essential) and/or demonstrated analytical skillset.
- Demonstrated influencing and negotiating skills to drive improvement initiatives
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Prior experience in project and change management, as well as facilitating problem solving sessions.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, flexibility and willingness to see projects through to completion.
- Ability to work autonomously and pick up new skills quickly.
Location
In this full-time permanent position, you will be based at Blackwater, QLD, or could be offered as a FIFO/DIDO from arrangement or residential. You will be working on 5D2X roster.
