About the Role
We are seeking a talented Specialist – Site Improvement to join our inclusive and high performing Mining Area C operation where you will seek to identify, lead and support improvement projects across all operational areas of Mining, Mobile Maintenance, Processing and Fixed Plant Maintenance.
Collaborating with the Manager Improvement, this role will be critical in supporting the MAC integrated operational plans by focusing on high value breakthrough improvement activities and creating systemic solutions and have a high impact. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a large Mining operation, embracing new technology and systems of work and will be the largest standalone iron ore processing centre in the world.

About You
We have a strong focus on finding individuals with the right values and communication skills. In addition to demonstrated ability to consolidate and analyse information, you will have the skills and knowledge to provide critical thinking and a solution-focused attitude. Previous leadership and strong stakeholder engagement will be highly regarded along with operational experience will be a valuable asset.
Desirable Skills include:
- Familiarity with BOS methodologies and the 14 Practices
- Engineering or Project Management experience
- Experienced in project management with knowledge of lean six sigma methodologies
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to take complexity into simplicity to problem solve at the right level
- Passionate about working collaboratively to solve complex business problems
- Proven ability to engage and inspire others through change
Location:
You will be based at our ‘Area C’ mine site on a fly-in fly-out 5:2/4:3 roster. Our Area C mine is located approximately 100kms North West of Newman, West Australia. The outstanding facilities at the FIFO village include; a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, netted cricket pitch, tennis and basketball court, beach volleyball court and recreation room including a pool table, darts, table tennis, TV and DVD player. All rooms at the village have their own ensuite bathroom, television, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
