About the Role
The External Affairs Strategy & Planning team works to establish, embed and continuously improve the long-term integrated strategy of the External Affairs function, as well as associated programs of work. Members of our team have a unique and unparalleled opportunity to work globally across all External Affairs sub-functions (Compliance, Corporate Affairs, Ethics & Investigations, Group Governance, Legal and Sustainability & Climate Change). This role can be located in Singapore, Perth, Brisbane or Adelaide.
Reporting to the Manager Strategy & Planning, the Specialist Strategy & Planning will drive function-wide activities and support the delivery of global programs across External Affairs. Key accountabilities include:
- Support the execution of key activities in the integrated planning process for External Affairs, including input into the External Affairs strategy, 2 year budget, Appraisal and routine performance reporting.
- Support the design and delivery of function-wide programs and initiatives that deliver improvements to the culture, capability, effectiveness and efficiency of External Affairs.
- Help drive the embedment of ways of working (e.g. BOS, Agile) across External Affairs, including the provision of tools, coaching and capability uplift.
- Support the development of capability (human skillset and other) across External Affairs.
- Drive and support the implementation of innovation opportunities across External Affairs.
- Conduct analysis to identify improvement opportunities and performance gaps.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement across External Affairs.
- Help drive integration across the sub-functions globally to fully realise the synergies and value proposition of External Affairs (including through ongoing collaboration with colleagues across the External Affairs sub-functions).
About You
- You are a highly motivated self-starter with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and an ability to work with ambiguity and complex issues.
- You are curious, future-focussed and have a passion for driving innovation and building capability (human skillset, technological etc.) in support of strategic goals.
- You have commercial acumen and data analysis capability, with an ability to support the execution of financial and non-financial planning activities, as well as provide quality analysis (both quantitative and qualitative).
- You have experience applying and/or coaching continuous improvement methodologies and ways of working (e.g. Agile and BOS) as well as working knowledge of strategic planning, project management and change management disciplines.
- You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to write high quality, polished papers, presentations and communications with minimal guidance.
- You have demonstrated success operating in multidisciplinary global teams will be viewed favourable. You are most likely a business professional working in a global organisation, large matrix structure or a management consulting firm.
