PERTH OFFICE
South32’s corporate office is based in the heart of Perth’s CBD. The corporate office houses key functions including HR, Finance, Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Group Risk and Technical. Our office is conveniently located a 5-minute walk from the Perth Underground Train Station.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Opportunity - Permanent, Full-Time Position, this role will preferably be based at our office in the heart of the Perth CBD. We understand and value the benefits flexibility brings and operate a hybrid work model (in the office and from home)
As the Specialist Supply – Corporate Services, you will be responsible for providing support and specialist advice for the Corporate Services team in the execution of corporate service agreements and some technology category management activities in line with category plans and to increase productivity, lower cost, manage risk and unlock organizational value safely and sustainably.
Reporting to the Technology VPs and Managers, other key role responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Develops category and sourcing strategies that minimize supply risk to the business, optimise cost, and contribute to process automation
- Develops effective relationships with internal business leaders to understand business requirements, to forecast demand, and verify that established contracts are effective
- Develops collaborative relationships with suppliers to ensure optimum delivery quality and sustained performance in line with business objectives. This also includes supporting resolution of supplier performance issues and escalations
- Execute and manage variations and renewals as they apply to assigned portfolio of work in line with the South32 Supply standard and Contracts and Commitments standard
- Ensures delivery against the corporate services sourcing plan
- Develops negotiation plans and leads negotiations with Suppliers.
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Minimum three years’ experience in a similar role.
- Excellent understanding of contract law with the ability to read, understand, draft, and negotiate service contracts.
- Strong experience developing commercial strategies and leading high-value strategic negotiations, with a strong understanding of corporate and white-collar services
- Previous experience in a commercial/ Supply environment, Mining & Metals will be preferred
- Capability to manage concurrent and time-sensitive priorities
- Excellent understanding of service contracts and the associated risk
- Competent in Ariba, contract drafting, and negotiation.
Qualifications for this position are:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, Commerce, Law or Procurement.
