About the Role

We have an opportunity for a surveyor to join our team at Broadmeadow Mine on a 7:7 roster however flexibility is an option for the right candidate. We are open to FIFO, DIDO or residential applicants.

Reporting to the Superintendent Survey, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of day-to-day survey requirements and be given opportunities for technical and professional development.

In this role you will:

  • Perform surveys in compliance with site survey standards, to direct progress of the underground mine and maintain mine models
  • Perform surface surveys to support exploration, mine design, monitoring, and infrastructure construction
  • Maintain and update mine survey records
  • Complete compliance reporting against approved mine designs
  • Provide survey services to mining, infrastructure, exploration and rehabilitation activities
  • Maintain, draft and distribute survey plans
  • Identify and execute opportunities to improve existing systems and processes

About You

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Surveying
  • Experience using GPS equipment, total stations, terrestrial scanners, AutoCAD, Maptek software and UAV technology advantageous
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated progress towards surveyor registration advantageous
