Cadia Valley Operations is located in Central Western New South Wales, approximately 25 kms outside the vibrant regional township of Orange and a convenient three hours from the capital city of Sydney. Employees reside in varied accommodation options in and around the district of Orange with the surrounding area’s occupied by wineries, stone fruit orchards, farming and national parks.

Who we’re looking for  

Reporting to the Superintendent Risk & Assurance, the Specialist – Systems, Assurance & Evaluation will coordinate and conduct audits for multi-faceted operational departments within Cadia Valley Operations.

The position will be working with and establishing effective relationships with key operational stakeholders to identify and prioritise specific auditing and evaluation requirements encompassing entire site systems.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Administer existing systems and processes for monitoring and review of risk controls, standards compliance, and legal compliance.
  • Maintain and manage the information base that covers the planning, implementation and reporting of assurance activities, including action management.
  • Assist with the development of an annual audit/assessment program for site management systems based on a plan agreed by site management and reflecting relevant external and group level assurance activities.
  • Facilitate implementation of audit programs including the implementation of site-based components, and liaison with other parties on external components
  • Review the factual accuracy of draft audit/assessment reports and action plans.
  • Implement training and coaching on assurance systems and processes.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to adjust to a target audience.

You will also possess the following:

  • Reasonable experience in an operational corporate governance, corporate compliance, or internal audit for a medium to large corporation.
  • Undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in governance, compliance, or audit.
