About the Role

We are looking to recruit for a job share opportunity (Monday to Friday - alternate weeks) within the Central Warehouse team for a Systems Specialist.    

The Systems Specialist will be based onsite at Central Warehouse, Paget (Mackay) and employed under a 50% job share opportunity working Monday to Friday, one week on / one week off.    

Reporting to the Superintendent Warehouse (CWH), key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate document reviews and complete risk assessment documentation in conjunction with stakeholders.   

  • Develop and implement practices to improve risk management processes and activities.   

  • Review current procedures and / or develop procedures and processes to improve safety, including the development of underpinning JSAs / WRACs where they are required. 

  • Provide support to stakeholders to navigate internal risk management systems, requirements, and expectations.   

  • Assist in the management of material risks and critical controls.   

  • Auditing of systems to ensure legislation compliance and compliance to BHP / BMA standards.   

  • Provide regular reporting for stakeholders on material risk management, SHMS, and improvement opportunities. 

  • Participate in Field Leadership activities.   

  • Help facilitate and monitor contractor management (CMF) for vendors used by the Central Warehouse. 

  • Utilise Success Factors (LMS) to monitor training compliance using LMS reporting, assign curricula, update training curricula and create learning items where required. 

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in health, safety and/or risk management in similar roles.   

  • Previous experience in navigating Safety and Health Management Systems along with an understanding of Workplace Health and Safety Legislation or Queensland Coal Mining Legislation 

  • RIIRIS402 Carry out the risk management processes qualification or the ability to obtain this certification.   

  • Demonstrated experience working autonomously in a fast-paced environment managing competing priorities.   

  • Strong engaging and influencing skills with the ability to coach leaders in the field.   

  • High-level attention to detail, efficiency, and effectiveness.   

  • Professional writing and verbal communication skills in addition to active listening skills.   

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (including Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook) and SAP experience is preferred.    

  • Experience with BHP systems of work such as Documentum, Field Leadership, Management of Change, LMS / SuccessFactors is preferable.
