About the Role

  Joining a progressive Global Talent Acquisition function, you will be a member of a dynamic, professional and friendly team who are willing to share knowledge and continuously learn.   

As a Talent Acquisition professional, you will be responsible for:   

  • Driving proactive sourcing to build talent networks;
  • Leading end-to-end Recruitment activity including strategy, screening, assessment, selection and contract negotiation;
  • Being a trusted partner to the business through using data insights to inform recruitment tactics and strategies;
  • Identifying, engaging and managing a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders;
  • Leading other specialised roles such as systems, process improvement, recruitment branding, insights and analytics. 

The role will see you recruit for site leadership and operations support staff positions along with corporate functional roles. This opportunity will give you variety in role types and exposure to Asset Vice President, Head of Department, General Managers and other senior stakeholders.

About You

Your interpersonal skills will foster collaborative working relationships and your ability to consolidate and analyse information will provide critical thinking and a solution-focused attitude.  

  You will have access to technology that will enable you to work flexibly, which is key to BHP’s success in addressing the requirements of a diverse workforce. Key requirements include:    

  • Ideally, you will be a recruiter who has had good exposure to the resources sector or heavy industry;
  • Your strong communication, customer service, problem solving, and organisational skills will be assets, as will your attention to detail and your talent to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders to build relationships;
  • Prior experience in a Talent Acquisition position with sound business acumen;
  • Experience in proactive candidate sourcing and talent pooling;
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to handle multiple roles at varying stages of a process and perform all resourcing process steps within the global Applicant Tracking System with a high degree of technical competence;
  • Strong communication, judgement and influencing skills to coach and influence stakeholders.
