About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and dynamic audit professional to join the BHP Audit Team. Based out of our Brisbane or Adelaide office this role will be part of the team which delivers the approved internal audit plan of a broad range of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) internal audits globally within a rapidly evolving business environment. 

Your primary areas of responsibility will include: • Assisting in the delivery of all assigned engagements in line with the Internal Audit processes, quality guidelines, early planning and stakeholder engagement. • Risk-based IT/OT technology audits, pre and post implementation reviews of major system or application projects, the IT component of Sarbanes-Oxley testing and SAP security and configuration assessments for global business processes. • Assessing business risks within a dynamic organisational and technological environment, executing a defined audit approach to successfully deliver all assigned engagements on-time, on-budget and with high quality and value orientation. • Conducting internal audits in accordance with BHP’s Internal Audit Charter, relevant internal standards and the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing as promulgated by the Institute of Internal Auditors.  

About You

The successful Candidate will have the following skills, experience and qualifications: • 5-9 years of relevant experience in the industry (Mining, Resources, Banking or Telco), domain areas (Enterprise and Operational Risk Management, Cybersecurity, Service Management, Auditing and Advisory/Consulting). • Knowledge and experience using Governance, Risk and Compliance Tools such as 1SAPGRC, RSA Archer etc. • Knowledge and experience of Technology processes, systems and tools. • A Technical Degree is essential but not mandatory in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or Management Information Systems • Ideally with CISSP, CISA or CRISC certification. • Excellent communication skills. Technical strengths will be complemented by an adaptable and team-spirited attitude.
