ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position on a 9-day fortnight at our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.

As the Specialist Technology Platforms, you will be part of a team responsible for building, improving, and maintaining our technical core systems (Platforms) and ensure a safe, consistent, and reliable product is provided to technology users within South32 Worsley Alumina.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

• Ensure effective delivery of Technology Platform services and solutions, supporting technology solutions, data, and visualisation activities
• Establish and govern Technology Platform practices and processes with suppliers and Platform Teams
• Contribute to the vision and strategy for the delivery of digital technology at Worsley
• Foster continuous improvement and collaboration across operational and Technology Platform teams

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

• Proficient in platform thinking, data design and integration, and architecture patterns
• Experience in operational data application for plant control and large-scale data handling and analysis
• Strategic application of IT knowledge for effective planning and solutions
• Strong communication skills that empower and inspire collaboration
• Adaptive problem solver with a keen awareness of interpersonal dynamics and emotional intelligence

Qualifications for this position are: 

• Relevant application and/or data management / technology certifications
• Tertiary Degree in computer science, data science or engineering preferable but not essential
