About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Specialist Trainer for Jimblebar. This is a crucial role that contributes to the training and assessment of operational roles and activities. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Assist with designing and delivering training plans;
- Train and assess machinery/equipment maintainers on a variety of mobile equipment;
- Testing of repaired, mobile equipment
- Identify and assess risks, make risk informed decisions (using BHP's risk management framework);
- Conduct routine operational and safety activities to effectively prepare for and manage operational workload;
- Plan and execute work flow/ work orders;
- Manage stakeholder expectations.
About You
The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering training materials and possess related experience in a similar role. You will possess either Certificate IV for Training & Assessing or are currently completing qualifications in this area. A HR class drivers licence is essential. Other competencies include:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels from senior management to frontline leaders and technicians.
- Ability to develop others through coaching, mentoring, rewarding and guiding
- Presentation, coaching, assessing and facilitation skills
- Managing competing priorities, expectations and requirements
- Self-development - new skills acquired when needed to complete tasks
- Ideally you will have a Mechanical or Trade background, but not essential
- High Risk License for forklift, dogging / rigging and EWP desirable but not essential
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment essential
- Possess Current HR Drivers License
- Strong computer literacy MS Office, internet based applications
