About the Role
The Training Specialist will be responsible for providing quality training and assessing activities ensuring all our team members are safe, efficient and productive.
Reporting to the Lead Training, your duties will include:
- Using your experience to deliver competency-based training materials to individuals and groups.
- Delivery of inductions and safety related training to groups
- Conducting Verification of Competencies (VOC) on specific equipment and/or HRWLs to ensure new team members are competent and authorised to work.
- Demonstrating commitment and conformance to the BHP Charter, the BHP Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations.
- Ensuring training materials are maintained in line with business and industry standards and statutory requirements.
- Ensuring technical training is implemented as planned.
In a permanent full-time position, you will Fly-in-fly-out ex Perth to Mt Keith on a 7/7 roster.
About You
As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110 / TAE40116 minimum.
- Previous experience in a trainer/assessor role in a mining production environment.
- Demonstrated skills and knowledge of applicable Dump Trucks, Water Cart, Loaders, Dozers, Graders and Excavators.
- Ability to work with trainees and new to industry personnel.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across a range of teams.
- Sound computer skills, working with BHP LMS Training systems and the Microsoft office suite.
- HR class driver’s license preferred but C class license essential.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proven organisational skills within a training environment and the ability to work autonomously.
