Training and development is an integral part of a successful operation. This role operates within a supportive and dynamic Training and Safety team. The purpose of this role is to support the training lead team to improve and implement quality training systems and processes and ensure the compliance to and governance of the expected training standard across site. This role is offered on a fulltime contract.

Location This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities. As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie. |
Accountabilities
- Utilizes knowledge of vocational education processes and technical knowledge to develop and maintain on the job competency frameworks and profiles in alignment with national standards for the mine, refinery and port operation.
- Deliver the compliance to and governance of the Worsley Training Scheme and the South 32 Training Standard.
- Ensure compliance to and governance of the various legislative and regulatory requirements
- Facilitation of shared training as required (example Inductions).
- Applies a thorough understanding of the Australian Qualifications Framework to the learning, development and assessment of employees.
- Develops, reviews and validates training material, assessment processes and competency requirements to ensure quality learning outcomes in line with legislative requirements
- Supports leadership and employees in appropriate interventions and strategies where LLN barriers to learning are identified.
- Using data sources, implement area training plans to close identified gaps in line with business drivers
About You
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or preparedness to work towards this
- Demonstrated written and oral English language proficiency.
- Vocational Education & Training skills (including knowledge of adult learning principles).
- Strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to share knowledge and technical guidance.
- Knowledge/experience in compliance processes is desirable
