About the Role
Join BHP as a Specialist Villages within the E&NPI Services Team supporting Olympic Dan Villages and infrastructure.
The successful applicant will be part of an energetic team that focuses on delivering safe, reliable, inclusive services to support the Olympic Dam Operation. They will drive our contract business partners to safely deliver scope of service, quality, statutory and contractual compliance. They will have a passion for customer service, and will apply a continuous improvement mindset to improve the resident experience.
This role is based at Olympic Dam on an 8 days on / 6 days off roster with on-call accountabilities. You can elect to FIFO from Adelaide, DIDO or reside residentially. This role is offered initially on a 6 month fixed term / secondment basis.
In this role you will:
- Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development;
- Deliver the Village strategy, with a continuous improvement focus on improving the resident experience;
- Use the BHP Contractor Management Framework to drive our contract business partners to safely deliver scope of service, quality, statutory and contractual compliance;
- Proactively identify and implement opportunities to improve service standards, productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness;
- Ensure all safe work systems, procedures and standards are adhered to through frequent inspection of the workplace and field leadership activities;
- Build relationships with other departments and workers to ensure resident satisfaction problems are addressed and resolved in a timely manner; and
- Establishment of strong working relationships with the Services logistics, transport, and shut down operations teams.
About You
- Experience in customer service, catering, hospitality, or maintenance desirable
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of Food Safety and handling
- Experience with work health and safety with a demonstrated capability in development of risk assessments
- Analytical skills including ability to undertake audits and data collection
- Previous experience with contract management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including public speaking
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work well as a part of a team, and deliver results
- The ability to remain calm under pressure
- As a people leader, you will have experience in leading teams and routines
- Computer literacy in MS suite of programs
- Valid unrestricted manual drivers licence is required
