About the Role
We currently have a 6-month fixed term contract opportunity within the BMA Warehouse team for a Specialist Warehouse - Materials.
This is a Monday to Friday role reporting to the Superintendent Warehouse & Transport. The role will be based in Mackay with the requirement for frequent site travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coaching and guidance to warehouse and maintenance teams to correctly work within the supply processes
- Support Warehouse teams with key initiatives relating to Warehouse Optimisation and Materials
- Governance routines and reporting based on Warehouse and Materials system health
- This role includes a regular requirement for site travel
- Operational Readiness Support – site led or engagement with Asset Initiatives
Accountabilities with biggest impact:
- Maintains a wide network of impact, integrates functions, operations, and regions, and solves complex challenges to drive strong functional/asset integration across BHP
- Applies an understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain to enhance efficiency, drive optimisation, and maximise value
- Makes evidence based and strategic decisions in alignment with longer term business objectives
- Identifies, engages, and manages a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Conducts presentations and facilitates workshops using storytelling to connect, influence and engage the audience
- Identifies and assesses risks, makes risk informed decisions, uses BHP's risk management framework and builds a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes
- Sources information, plans and conducts analysis to support evidence-based decision making
About You
- Operational experience – warehouse or inventory-based experience is highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience managing change, negotiation and influencing decision making through leaders
- Proficient in managing data in Excel
- Proficient with SAP
- Skilled at developing and analysing relevant report data
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams with a focus on quality and timely delivery
