Specialist Work Management Planner

Worsley Alumina is one of the largest and lowest-cost bauxite mining and alumina refining operations in the world. Worsley manages a bauxite mine, alumina refinery and port operations in Western Australia’s South West.

Location 
Refinery    This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes – bus available from Bunbury location only) and other nearby scenic communities.  
 
As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie.  


The Opportunity
This is a permanent full-time position.
The purpose of this role is to develop & communicate the plans and schedules for an operation area in accordance with the Work Management processes, Organisational compliance to risk management processes and the Australian industry standards and procedures.

Accountabilities – 
•    Ensure Compliance to work management processes to enable safe work practices to minimize the risk associated with the working environment to employees and contractors, and to comply with statutory obligations.
•    Create & Plan work orders that enable effective deployment of work management resources, including personnel, service providers and materials. 
•    Facilitate the periodic schedule and the resource levelling meetings to ensure alignment of all work management activities to production or other operational plans 
•    Build and Communicate accurate work schedules reflecting all work management activities, ensuring they are adequately resourced and aligned to the corresponding 12 week planning window.
•    Request and Govern work management master data changes as required, based on equipment strategy reviews, failure analysis and identified quality errors
•    Develop secondary task lists for relevant reoccurring work to support effective planning and safe execution.
•    Review work management process compliance across sub functions and engage relevant stakeholders to ensure adherence.

About You   
Qualifications 
•    Relevant Trade or Process Operator qualification
•    High functionality of SAP’s Maintenance Planning and Scheduling
•    Advanced Computer literacy skills
•    Self- reliant contributor with distinctive proficiency in the work management planning area and a minimum work-related experience of between 2 and 4 years. Requires detailed knowledge of procedures in own functional area, as well as knowledge of other functions
•    Experience with mining or refining equipment and activities
