At Perenti Contract Mining we are passionate about the growth of our people and as a testament to this, we have an exciting opportunity available. Perenti Group are seeking a Storesperson for an 14/7 Roster at one of of our many long term mine sites.

Key accountabilities & responsibilities

• Lead, train and mentor the warehouse team to optimise supply performance and efficiency;
• Ensure adherence with business processes and policies, driving a culture that facilitates teamwork and continuous improvement;
• Raise purchase requisitions for goods and services;
• Control the inbound and outbound freight, including unloading and loading of transport vehicles;
• Goods receipt and storage of all goods in accordance with company procedures, including Dangerous Goods management;
• Control and carry out stock management activities including stock reconciliation, goods issuing and cyclic stock taking.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Strong commitment to safety;
• Experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining industry;
• Proven experience in supervising staff;
• Ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the business;
• Demonstrate strong analytical/problem solving skills;

Requirements

• Manual Driving Licence
• Forklift Ticket
• Warehousing experience (Preferred, not essential)
