About the Business
Yarrabee Coal Company is a wholly owned subsidery of Yancoal Australia (Australia's largest pure play coal producer), based in Blackwater Queensland - a couple hours west of the Capricorn Coast. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Storeperson to join our dynamic team. It boasts three tier one thermal coal mines in New South Wales together with interests in three other metallurgical and thermal coal mines located in New South Wales and Queensland. Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be apart of a dynamic team responsible for the proficient operation of the warehouse. Duties will include, but are not limited to: Receiving and receipting of all deliveries to the mine site, store issues, regular stocktakes and other warehouse duties. Furthermore, this position is accountable for the ongoing improvement and maintenance of the inventory system on site and must maintain regular communication with the Commercial Supply Team to ensure correct procedures are followed according to accounting and audit requirements. Roster: 4/3
Skills and Experience
Knowledge: ◾ Sound understanding of risk awareness, hazard identification and a strong commitment to safety performance ◾ Good written and verbal communication skills ◾ Good computer literacy ◾ Awareness of risk and ability to see hazards in the working environment ◾ Ability to learn new skills Experience: ◾ Minimum 5 years previous experience working within a Stores/Warehouse team environment ◾ Experienced in all areas of providing a warehousing function on a mine site. ◾ Experienced in using an ERP system (SAP preferred) Qualifications: ◾ Generic Surface Induction (Standard 11) ◾ High Risk Forklift Licence (Desirable)
