Our Cadia operation in Australia is now recruiting for the position of Stores Technician to join the Surface Fixed Plant Maintenance Team.
Who we’re looking for:
Reporting to the Supervisor - Surface Fixed Plant, you will be responsible for ensuring the trades persons have the tools available to allow them to complete the safe execution of maintenance activities within the plant, in both planned and non-planned (breakdown) situations. You will work with the supervisor, stores and other invested parties to make available (kit and stage style) parts for the mechanical teams executing work.
The key responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety.
- Willingness to learn and be a part of a team.
- Maintaining tools, arranging repairs, or ordering replacements when required.
- Ensure tooling is “booked out” and “returned”.
- Assist in maintaining the workshop (tidy & stocked).
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Mechanical knowledge, trade qualification desirable
- Medium level computer skills (Project, Excel & Word) with the ability to write reports
- Motivated and organised
- Able to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability and knowledge to work safely and follow procedures.
- Excellent communication skills
Please note: This is a permanent role based in Orange, NSW on a 7D/7X roster.
