About the Role

The role can be based in Adelaide, Olympic Dam or Roxby Down

In this role, you will guarantee the parts availability for production impactful materials for our Olympic Dam asset, through the definition of a stocking strategies aligned to business needs and working collaboratively with the relevant value chain stakeholders.

Core Accountabilities - Forecasting

  • Lead the definition through to execution of Inventory Strategies across all major Material Categories and Capital Projects. 
  • Using material forecast data, collaborate with Procurement to identify the lowest total cost decision (buy all, some, none) without sacrificing security of supply.  
  • Ensure the right configuration of materials to optimise Supply Chain costs including lead-time optimisation and adherence along with optimisation of the vendors Inventory.  
  • Assist the CAPEX teams and managers in resolving any supply chain associated activities or issues to ensure optimal business performance. 
  • Execute the settlement for Consignment based in the frequency agreed with the vendor.
  • Monitor and control inventory project pipeline progress (pipeline health, tollgate status and track benefits).
  • Connect regional roles team to identify new inventory initiatives to fill the pipeline.
  • Connect with relevant stakeholders to ensure the progress of the initiatives. 

About You

  • Significant experience with Inventory Analytics & Strategy, Forecasting & Cost Modelling and supply chain expediting.
  • Outstanding relationship building skills and ability to influence Stakeholders and senior management. 
  • Proveability to operate effectively in constantly changing environments 
  • Good Ability to multi-task, with strong organisation and problem solving skills
  • Proven experience working on your independently and in a team. 
  • Ability to support Supply Stakeholders to deliver upon department KPIs.
