This is Rio Tinto Safe Production System (RTSPS). RTSPS will be how we operate our assets, manage performance and support our people. We see a huge potential to simplify how we work, stabilise our operations, collaborate and share best practice and make it sustainable.
We are looking for a Stream Lead to play a pivotal role in working collaboratively with our existing site teams to enhance, change and shift our mindset and behaviours towards achieving sustained access across our business.
This is a great opportunity for a business improvement professional with previous leadership experience to drive change and develop capability across our frontline operational leadership streams.
Reporting to the Deployment Lead – Rio Tinto Safety Production System and working in a challenging and exciting environment within RTSPS team you will:
- Support teams understanding & transition to the RTSPS way of working
- Support leaders in the deployment of practices and ensure PDCA’s are implemented and practices are sustained
- Identify and prioritise improvements required to deliver deployment targets;
- Set up site teams for sustained success with the RTSPS, for example establish best practice in people and capability development;
- Develop and refine RTSPS practices for deployment across various operational streams to identify and replicate best practice;
- Secure, develop and replicate necessary resources such as SPCT development for the sustainability of RTSPS;
- Remove barriers and escalate issues on behalf of the site-based teams;
- Keep sponsors informed and updated of deployment progress, results and challenges.
What you’ll bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team and knowledge of the application of the associated tools and processes e.g., quality safety interactions etc.
- Extensive operational leadership experience
- Extensive knowledge across a broad range of cross functional areas such as operations, maintenance, planning, logistics and quality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability to drive insights & results.
- Ability to overcome ambiguous and complex situations.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and coaching teams and driving cultural change.
- Expertise in leadership and promoting buy-in to proposed solutions.
- Proven presentation and communication skills with stakeholders of all levels.
- Experience and understanding of Lean Production System principles and methodologies.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills; with the ability to work well and communicate with others.
