About the Role

Reporting to Manager Maintenance at Saraji Mine, the role is to provide leadership and direction to a team of four (4) Ancillary Supervisors and two (2) Medium Vehicle supervisors to achieve exceptional performance in safety, culture, cost and machine reliability across Saraji’s Dozer, Grader, Medium Vehicle, Pump fleets. This position is based at Saraji Mine, Dysart, operating on a 4:3 roster, offering flexible travel arrangements. The responsibilities of this position will be:  

  • Delivering and promoting a safe place to work;
  • Developing the team so that everyone can reach their full potential and contribute;
  • Deliver exceptional work management outcomes that support ancillary equipment availability and reliability;
  • Achieve cost and productivity outcomes;
  • Utilise the BHP Operating systems to ensure customer needs are met, with a frontline team engaged in problem solving;
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement;
  • Risk management;
  • Developing and delivering on sub-department business plans and improvement pipeline;

About You

You will possess a Trade Qualification or a Degree in a relevant maintenance or technical discipline & have significant experience to a heavy industry or mining environment. You will utilise your strategic and analytical mind, as well as your excellent business acumen to lead our team in delivering superior results. You will also be a performance and outcomes oriented professional, who is motivated by exceeding expectations and able to use your relationships in order to deliver positive business outcomes.
