About the Role
We are actively seeking the talents of a driven and highly motivated Superintendent Asset Integrity to join the Nickel West Team, on either a FIFO roster or residentially located in the Leinster township.
Reporting to the Leinster Processing Manager, in this key position, you will be tasked with overseeing the development, endorsement, approval and communication of all site infrastructure services and asset integrity work scopes for all processing areas across the site ensuring safe, reliable and cost effectively maintained assets.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Guiding a team in all planning and execution activities in relation to structural integrity & engineering improvement projects, and maintenance of site infrastructure services within site including building facility maintenance and water management
- Driving all Asset Integrity focused projects across the site, through effective Continuous Improvement processes
- Delivering on the strategy and monitoring the actual costs and forecast against the Asset Integrity budget
- Building and reviewing the risk for all known defects and records within the risk management system
- Prioritise the development of employees through coaching & mentoring
- Drive Field Leadership routines including safety and risk management
- Nurture a positive, safe, inclusive and productive team environment
About You
To be successful in this role you will have experience in maintenance and will be extremely collaborative and a people oriented leader. Professional with high-level influencing and stakeholder engagement skills, you are team oriented, and results focused with a demonstrated capability for safety leadership, risk management as well as an effective coach in field leadership and continuous improvement routines.
In addition, we are ideally looking for the following skills and experience:
- An engineering and/or trade qualification within a relevant engineering or maintenance discipline is preferred but not essential
- An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment and the community.
- Results focused with a demonstrated track record managing successful, cohesive and high performing teams.
- A desire to drive change and shape a culture of continuous improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Location
Nickel West Leinster is located 375 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. The operation sources nickel ore from the Perseverance Underground Mine and Cliffs Underground Mine before crushing and processing to produce a concentrate. The Leinster Village and Township offer a unique lifestyle with all the modern conveniences and plenty to keep you entertained - take the heat off at the end of the day and head to the Olympic sized pool - or join in a regular social game of sports, there is a health and fitness center, other social activities including movie nights, a race-course and even an 18 hole golf course. Employees either commute to and from Perth on a fly in / fly out roster or live residentially within the township of Leinster, consisting of approximately 1000 residents.
