About the Role
We are seeking the talents of an experienced and skilled Superintendent Asset Integrity to join the Port Operations team in Port Hedland.
The Asset Integrity Maintenance (AIM) Team identifies, inspects, prioritises, and remediates business critical equipment, to ensure the long-term integrity of assets to protect the wellbeing of all personnel and equipment.
The Superintendent Asset Integrity Maintenance leads a maintenance function that support a reliable and optimal strategy to identify and remediate structural defects across our Port operations. The role develops, supports, and executes a long-term strategy focused on reducing current and future unscheduled downtime related to structural performance for critical equipment.
Key responsibilities:
- Support sustainable planning and execution of Asset Integrity inspections to reduce risk of integrity failure of critical equipment
- Support sustainable planning and remediation of defects under the operational portfolio to reduce risk of integrity failure of critical equipment
- Accountable for supporting sustainable execution of defects under capital portfolio
- Building and reviewing the risk for all known defects and records within the risk management system
- Driving all Asset Integrity focused projects across the site
- Support continuous improvement in AIM operational model to achieve optimal execution of inspection and remediation with a focus on optimum utilisation of schedule equipment downtime
- Drive improvement in best practice technologies to support inspections and remediation
- Development of the Port Opex & Capital budget, including monitoring the actual costs against budget
- Continuous support and empowering team members to give the best to perform safety and proactively
About You
Your demonstrated success in leading projects and mentoring multidisciplinary teams in a complex operational environment will be key to your success in this role.
Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills will also be critical in ensuring you build effective collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders across the business.
In addition, you will possess the following:
- Demonstrated success working within a similar operationally focused position
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering ( Structural and / or Mechanical ) will be highly regarded
- A proven track record when it comes to safety management
- The ability to influence and inspire others to achieve results
- A genuine desire to build cohesive and inclusive teams
Location
In this residential role you will be based in the coastal town of Port Hedland, Western Australia. Port Hedland is home to our port and rail operations and is the largest regional centre in North West Australia. The 20,000-strong population enjoys well-established education services, entertainment, shopping and medical facilities.
The excellent sporting and leisure facilities include; a new aquatic centre, sports stadium and water play park. Its beaches and mangroves are home to an abundance of fish and other wildlife. Within driving distance are the spectacular Broome, Karratha and Karijini national Park. As this is a residential position you will also be provided with subsidised rental accommodation in addition to power and water subsidies.
