About the role

We are looking for a Superintendent Maintenance Utilities to join our Coastal Pilbara Utilities leadership team and oversee maintenance for our utilities assets. The scale and complexity of operations is significant which will provide you with opportunities to demonstrate your expertise in maintenance, and your capabilities as a respected people leader.

 In this role, you’ll be managing a significant asset base, whilst leading maintenance crews and coordinating shift activities to deliver maintenance targets in a safe and cost-effective manner. The asset base and commodities under your remit will include – fuel hubs and storage tanks, an electrical transmission and distribution network, water supply network, wastewater processing plant.

This is a high-profile opportunity to work with a diverse group of stakeholders, provide advice to senior leadership, and guide our sites towards operational success. Working closely with local site leadership, vendors and communities, reporting to the Manager Coastal Maintenance, you will be:

  • Providing leadership and guidance to Supervisors and multidisciplinary trade teams.
  • Driving efficiencies to improve productivity and managing risks.
  • Managing seamless delivery of services to assist sites achieve their targets.
  • Proactively managing our assets during planned and unplanned outages to minimise production losses.
  • Implementing and developing asset management processes for existing and new assets.
  • Effectively managing operating costs and identifying opportunities to free cash flow.
  • Capital planning and forecasting for planned projects.

  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to coach, mentor and develop a team.
  • Commercial and technical acumen, enabling you to effectively manage assets and maintenance.
  • An understanding of the challenges associated with large scale mining operations and utilities assets maintenance.
  • Tertiary level qualifications in Electrical Engineering (advantageous) or significant Utilities Electrical trade and supervisory experience.
  • A current Manual C Class driver's license.

Where you’ll be working

The role can be based residentially in Wickham or fly in, fly out from Perth. If you’re not already based here in Western Australia, we can offer comprehensive relocation assistance.

Our port facilities consist of four shipping terminals located on the Pilbara coast at Dampier and Cape Lambert which form an essential part of our logistics process. Each terminal has facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading.
