About the Role
The Superintendent CHPP Processing at Caval Ridge Mine is a key leadership position in the Coal Handling and Preparation Plants (CHPPs). Reporting to the Production Coal Manager, you will be responsible for the process optimisation of the plant, operational maintenance of equipment and safe execution of the production plan.
You will lead a high performing team focused on continuous improvement in operational standards, people, production plant equipment and infrastructure.
In this role you will:

Ensure compliance with the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 and all other legislative requirements.

Responsible for managing risk and supporting compliance with safety and health management systems to deliver optimal production outcomes.

Lead and mentor a highly motivated production and processing team comprising of production supervisors, operators, process engineers and laboratory technicians.

Review work practices, actively manage people performance and development, supporting the Production Coal Manager in leading change.

Integrate with all stakeholders on site to lead the effective operational performance of the CHPP.

Mange the CHPP budget, time usage model (TUM) forecast and production data reporting; and

Execute daily operations and fixed plant maintenance to achieve results, as you identify and deliver projects to improve Safety, Culture and Productivity.
About You

Demonstrated safety leadership and the confidence to lead by example to maintain a high profile in the promotion of a safe working environment.

Possess confident ability to lead diverse teams effectively with proven experience in leading change and strong interpersonal skills are highly desirable.

Proven experience as a people leader, with the ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels and disciplines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as systems knowledge.

Experience with 1SAP and knowledge of other production systems such as AMPLA & Citect; and
-
Relevant tertiary qualification (strong preference for tertiary qualification in Process/Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy) and/or equivalent industry experience within production plant operations.
