About the Role
We are currently seeking a fixed term, full-time Commercial Superintendent, reporting to the Commercial Manager, for our Gunnedah open cut sites.
What you’ll Do
- Work with Mine and Functional Managers to develop detailed cost budgets/forecasts
- Work with site personnel to ensure the effective recording of financial data against budget measures
- Reviewing existing practices and processes to seek opportunities for improvement including streamlining, increased efficiencies and consistencies
- Work across the business to educate on effective costing and commercial practices.
- Assist the Commercial Manager in ensuring the timely completion of miscellaneous reporting and process requirements
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce or Accounting
- Professional membership of either CPA or CA
- 7-8 years’ experience, with 3-4 years being in an operational role
- Experience in a capital-intensive industry (preferably mining, manufacturing or heavy industry)
