Join Macmahon’s Greenbushes Lithium Mine Project as a Commercial Superintendent, where you’ll lead financial oversight and strategic planning to drive project performance. This role is pivotal in analysing financial health, delivering accurate reporting, and guiding forecasting to optimise productivity and profitability.
Greenbushes Lithium Mine is a drive-in, drive-out site located approximately 250 kilometres south of Perth adjacent to the town of Greenbushes in Western Australia.
About the Role
- Lead commercial governance by ensuring all actions align with the business risk model, identifying improvement opportunities, and driving corrective measures.
- Oversee monthly reporting in consultation with the Project Manager - Alternate in compiling accurate reports and review packs
- Manage contract claims across the project ensuring timely submission, compliance and adherence to best practice standards
- Drive budgeting and quarterly forecasts for Surface Mining (Greenbushes)
- Support the Project Manager in compliance and execution of the Contract
- Advise site leadership on financial KPIs, offering insights that influence operational and commercial success.
- Participate in monthly cost reviews with the Project Manager, providing strategic input and ensuring cost-effective performance.
- Support tender development and scope changes by contributing commercial expertise to new bids and scope increases related to the project.
- Demonstrate deep contractual knowledge, including key performance indicators and factors impacting production and financial outcomes.

About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- A bachelor’s degree in finance or a related discipline.
- Proven commercial insight and strong business acumen.
- Solid understanding of financial and accounting practices, with sharp attention to detail.
- The ability to interpret and apply contractual documentation effectively.
- Familiarity with QA/QC standards and procedural requirements.
- Sound risk management knowledge
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Excellent command of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel
