About the Role
As the Superintendent Construction, you will provide leadership for the teams that support the safe and successful delivery of individual projects within the constraints of scope, time, quality and budget, managing all project related Health, Safety and Environment risks.
You will promote early interface within the projects to contribute to the successful and safe delivery of the projects through our contractor partners and across departments on site.
These roles are available at both Mt Keith and Leinster sites and can be offered as residential or FIFO 5/2, 4/3.
In this role you will:
- Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
- Champions (and participates in) the field leadership program and safety initiatives as a priority
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Effectively manage Construction Contractors to ensure adherence to Safety requirements, Quality, Schedule and Budget
- Lead in the management of the project schedule and budget to deliver the project scope of work in accordance with the approved business case and to the required business deadlines
- Participate in workplace investigations as required
- Maintain strong working relationship with relevant stakeholders to achieve required project outcomes
- Monitors and ensures assigned construction contractor’s activities and performance follows specifications and is within schedule and budget
About You
- Trade or Engineering qualification required
- Exceptional communication and demonstrated experience building mutually sound and beneficial relationships across multiple groups of stakeholders
- Demonstrate the confidence to lead by example, hold yourself and others accountable and coach others in ‘Safety Leadership’
- Experience working in Mining Operations and Project environments desirable
- Experience with brownfields projects and delivery
- Significant background in contractor management
- A background leading teams, both direct and non-direct reports, where action through influence is encouraged
- Current drivers licence is required
