We are seeking a highly motivated, engaging, safety focused leader to join our Cranes & Belts team, based at the Dampier operation. Reporting to the Manager Maintenance, Planning and Logisitics we are seeking a Superintendent Cranes & Belts to deliver safe and timely execution of cranes, transport and conveyor maintenance requirements for our Dampier Port operation.

Our port facilities consist of four shipping terminals located on the Pilbara coast at Dampier and Cape Lambert which form an essential part of our logistics process. Each terminal has facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading.

This role presents a fantastic opportunity to draw on your people leadership skills and technical knowledge. Positively develop and support your team of Supervisors; enabling operational, quality and budget requirements to be met, whilst driving safety excellence and positive team culture.

You will work closely with various site operational teams to provide effective and efficient crane and conveyor belt maintenance solutions. Therefore, your demonstrated ability to engage, connect and positively influence will prove valuable to the effectiveness of this role.

About the role

This dynamic team execute planned, opportune and breakdown work focusing on delivering safely and efficiently to customer needs. This role is a great opportunity for an experienced Superintendent to join our team where you will be responsible for:

  • Leading an experienced team of supervisors who manage the cranage, transport and scraper maintenance onsite execute work safely across a geographically spread portfolio
  • Partnering with our conveyor belt contract partner and supporting to execute work safely and productively through leadership routines and contractor management processes
  • Stakeholder management across various operational and maintenance teams to deliver effective and efficient crane and conveyor belt maintenance solutions
  • Providing input into business risk processes and asset management plans
  • Managing your department budget and demonstrate cost conscious attributes
  • Engage and work closely with business partners such as Health & Safety, Procurement, Fleet Services and Finance to support delivery of contract services and asset replacements
  • Conduct continuous improvement activities to increase safety, finance and productivity outcomes
