We are looking for an engaging, safety focused Superintendent Dewatering to join the Mine Operations team at Greater Nammuldi which is the biggest mine for Rio Tinto Iron Ore.
Leading on the frontline is one of the most important jobs in our business and comes with a huge amount of responsibility. We need you to motivate, inspire and keep your people safe and well.
This is a great opportunity for a leader with solid communication skills to lead a diverse team. You will be joining an experienced Superintendent group and leading a dewatering team in a challenging and exciting environment.
Reporting to the Manager Mine Operations, you will be:
- A valued partner of the Mine Operations team.
- Actively engaging and influencing the wider operations teams to improve the site’s safety, cost and production outcomes.
- Collaborate and partner with our extensive supporting functions to ensure Dewatering leading practice is implemented and sustained.
- An inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviours, practices and processes, whilst providing leadership, development and support to your team
- Leading site services activities from planning through execution and review, including the responsibility for contractor management
- Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and supporting the team in the implementation of improvement initiatives
- Developing, monitoring and controlling approved budget to deliver cost effective services that meet the business needs

Where you will be working
Located 60km north-west of Tom Price, Brockman is wholly owned and operated by Rio Tinto. Opened in 2010, this open pit operation offers a family friendly fly in fly out roster with state-of-the-art camp facilities.
The Greater Brockman Operations consist of Brockman 2, Brockman 4, Nammuldi and Silvergrass. Driving the latest technological advancements, the open-pit mines offer an avenue for opportunity and career progression.
