We are looking for a Superintendent Drill and Blast to join our Marandoo Mine Operations Leadership team.
This is a great opportunity for an engaging individual to lead a great team of drill and blast supervisors while promoting positive safety and people culture through visible and tangible leadership.

Reporting to the Mining Manager and working in a challenging and exciting environment, within Marandoo Mine Operations Department, you will be:
- An inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviours, practices and processes, whilst providing leadership, development and support to the drill and blast teams
- Responsible for the development of a strong safety culture ensuring adherence to procedures for drill and blast operations
- Ensuring compliance to site standards and legislation
- Measuring, recording, analysing and reporting on all drill and blast activities to consistently achieve plan and improve performance
- Working collaboratively and fostering relationships with other departments to achieve wider business objectives
What you’ll bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Proactive with a strong commitment in driving a safe working culture
- Experience working in operational leadership roles and be confident in effectively leading, mentoring and coaching team members as well as interfacing with senior leaders
- A desire to build and lead engaged teams
- Demonstrated background in drill and blast operations, with strong technical skills in blasting is preferred
- A current Australian driver's license

Where you’ll be working
Located 45km east of Tom Price, Marandoo offers a range of fly in fly out rosters. The below-water-table expansion is expected to extend the life of the mine by approximately 16 years. An updated accommodation village complements the mine expansion and provides modern, comfortable facilities for its workforce.
