We are looking for a Superintendent Drill and Blast to provide leadership to ensure all aspects of Mine Development and Drilling & Blasting operations are conducted safely and efficiently.

This role is a great opportunity for an experienced individual with a strong background in mining and excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. This position is Residential in Tom Price or FIFO Perth. Reporting to the Manager Mining, you will:

• Be responsible for the development of a strong safety culture ensuring adherence to all relevant statutory regulations and Rio Tinto Iron Ore standards and policies
• Demonstrate capability in all aspects of leading a team including but not limited to; employee performance management, training and career development
• Help to recruit your team and drive employee engagement through the application of consistent and fair leadership
• Measure, record and analyse reporting on all drill and blast activities to consistently achieve plan and improve performance
• Work collaboratively and foster relationships with other departments to achieve wider business objectives

About you

• Drill and Blast knowledge
• Collaborative approach and positive attitude
• Proven leadership qualities and prior experience in leading and developing people
• Cost control management and budgeting experience
• Ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple work priorities
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills

It will also be beneficial if you have:

• A current WA Restricted Quarry Manager's ticket
• Certificate IV or higher in Frontline Management
