Superintendent Drill Compliance
Work Location: Across various operational Fortescue sites in the Pilbara
Roster: 8D/6R FIFO ex. Perth
The Drill Compliance Specialist primary role is to ensure that all drilling related service providers are adhering to the Fortescue Drilling Standard and applicable HSE standards and policies. This is a full-time role, rotating across the various sites providing support to the site-based Hydrogeology and Geology drilling teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Promote the safe and efficient operation of drilling rigs, associated equipment and personnel
- Ensure that all work areas, machinery, and work groups are audited regularly, addressing any gaps or non-compliances
- Assist and advise both FMG and Contractor site Management on all drilling related safety and compliance related matters
- Provide training and SME support to the Drill compliance specialists
- Provide monthly reports on iAuditor findings and track critical items identified in audits
- Develop and maintain the audit schedule and also maintain iAuditor or other required software
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience working with drilling equipment
- Previous experience on a mine site
- Previous fieldwork experience at supervision or higher level
- Incident investigation and analysis skills (ICAM)
- WHS or Drilling certification highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills required
