Earthworks Superintendent

Work Location: Chichester Hub and surrounding project areas - Fortescue’s Chichester hub is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples

 Roster: 4D/3R FIFO ex Perth

Join the Resource Definition team of the Eastern Hub as Superintendent Earthworks East to develop a robust framework for the earthworks teams to safely execute their specific scopes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide visible leadership promoting safe work practices from earthworks contractors and FMG staff with the support of the compliance and the HSES teams
  • Forecasting, procurement and management of materials, plant, personnel and contractors
  • Develop the earthwork schedules to provide timely access and drill pads required by the different drilling teams (resource definition, water well and diamond)
  • Contractor relationship management to ensure the earthworks required for drilling are completed to the required standard
  • Regular review of Fortescue’s and contractor earthmoving procedures

Qualification and Experience:

  • Proven people leadership
  • Extensive experience in contractor management
  • Solid understanding of earthwork and drilling risk management
  • Demonstrated earthworks technical application and continuous improvement practices using technology
