We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-driven Superintendent Electrical to lead an operationally critical team, at our Dampier operations. You will utilise your strong change management background and ability to coach and develop, leading a highly proficient team of technical and professional individuals in the management & delivery of electrical capabilities. This role will take overall ownership of the electrical maintenance strategy.
Reporting to the Manager Maintenance at Dampier Ports, your daily remit will include but not be limited to:
- Championing the practical application of technology to improve our operating practices
- Building & maintaining strong technical competency pipeline within your team, offering a continuous electrical escalation support service to the site
- Ensuring alignment of electrical asset strategy with key stakeholders including the Operations, Maintenance & Supply Chain teams
- Establishing clear project & operational improvement priorities for your team to execute, based upon safety, productivity, and cost outcomes
Where you’ll be working
Our port facilities consist of 2 shipping terminals located on the Pilbara coast at Dampier which form an essential part of our logistics process. Each terminal has facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading.
About you
To ensure success in this role, you will have:
- Strong people leadership skills, specifically in field environments
- Comfort with working across multiple systems and processes
- A level of electrical competency – a background as an Electrician, Electrical Engineer or similar would be highly advantageous
- A proven track record of coaching and developing team members
- The ability to influence stakeholders
- A continuous improvement mindset
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
