ABOUT CANNINGTON 

Our Cannington operation is one of the world's largest producers of silver and lead.  Located in northwest Queensland, Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville. Cannington mine provides on-site accommodation including meal services, as well as sporting and gym facilities.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This is a permanent position on a 4:3, 4:3, 8:6 roster, FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville, or DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay shires.

As the Superintendent Electrical Maintenance, you will be responsible for leading the Electrical Maintenance function to deliver safe, reliable and cost-effective electrical, instrumentation and control system performance while ensuring statutory compliance and supporting sustainable operational outcomes.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

  • Provide leadership for electrical safety, risk management and compliance
  • Develop and optimise maintenance strategies across critical assets
  • Manage contractor performance, service agreements and maintenance budgets
  • Support projects, shutdowns and asset improvement initiatives

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

  • Leading maintenance and reliability teams in heavy industry environments
  • Building inclusive, accountable and high-performing team cultures
  • Managing electrical compliance, risk assessments and incident investigations
  • Using asset performance data to improve reliability, availability and cost outcomes

Qualifications for this position are: 

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Associate Diploma or recognised Electrical Trade Qualification
  • Queensland Electrical Work Licence (or equivalent)
  • Current Queensland Driver's Licence
