ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position on 9-day fortnightDIDO to our Boddington Mine, located a short drive from the community of Boddington (10 minutes), Pinjarra (50 minutes) and the City of Mandurah (1 hour). Dedicated bus service to and from Boddington based sites from major hubs (Mandurah, Pinjarra, Dwellingup and Armadale)

As the Superintendent Execution reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the purpose of this role is to provide leadership and direction to the Fixed Plant and infrastructure department. Accountabilities include leading the development of integrated production and maintenance plans and leading execution teams to safely executed the integrated maintenance and production plans in a cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety and Risk

  • Ensure fixed plant personnel are fully competent to work effectively and safely
  • Identify and demonstrate awareness of material safety risks relevant to your area, ensure critical controls are verified and in place
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements
  • Manage contractors to ensure compliance with operating standards, procedures and work instructions.

Leadership

  • Set clear performance expectations for individuals/team and ensure people are being held accountable.
  • Lead an improvement culture by encouraging teams to identify improvements and implement team level improvement ideas through to completion
  • Develop and mentor individual team members and promote a culture of continuous improvement through encouraging crew members to participate in and add input to meetings and discussions
     

Technical

  • Lead the fixed plant team to operate the production processes and equipment safely and in accordance with the schedule, process specifications and the operations technical standards
  • Provide input into the fixed plant budget by reviewing existing work plans
  • Supervise the execution of the schedule to achieve established performance targets on HSEC, cost and volume.
  • Ensure execution of maintenance activities in line with the weekly/monthly work schedules or shutdown schedules and minimise any unscheduled work requirements

ABOUT YOU

Experience/Technical Skills  

  • Exceptional safety leadership with an ability to identify and eliminate hazards in the workplace.
  • Relevant experience in Ore processing fixed plant operations and maintenance activities.
  • Ability to develop, coach and mentor employees to improve engagement, diversity and capability.

Qualifications for this position are: 

  • Tertiary qualifications (or equivalent) in Engineering or other related discipline (Required)
