ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent position on a 9-day fortnight working week roster, at our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.

As the Superintendent Execution - Electrical, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of planned and shutdown electrical work activities to support operations at the Worsley Refinery & Port. While, continually upholding and promoting the South32 Leadership Accountability Model (incl. of duties for Schedule 26 role & accountabilities under WHS act / law).

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

  • Deliver the safety guarantee by setting expectations and holding people accountable for their actions.
  • Take full supervisory & coordination responsibility for the dayshift Refinery electrical team. Engage with Maintenance, Production, Engineering and HSEC representatives to facilitate the review of the effectiveness of maintenance work strategies and minimise operational risk.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Contractors to ensure safe execution of Maintenance activities as per standards.
  • Oversee all aspects of electrical maintenance execution activities.
  • Work collaboratively with Senior Leadership, other Superintendents and Maintenance Supervisors to ensure electrical maintenance execution activities are conducted safely and effectively by competent maintenance personnel in accordance with the relevant standards and operating procedures.

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

.

  • 10+ years in electrical related roles
  • 5+ years in leadership roles essential
  • Ability to leverage and encourage cross functional relationships and multidisciplinary teams to achieve personal and organisational objectives.
  • Ability to create an inclusive and diverse environment where everybody can bring their whole self to work.
  • Expert/Professional that has detailed knowledge of principles and concepts related to maintaining, Reliability and operating equipment within their area of accountability and limited knowledge of other functions.

Qualifications for this position are: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Associate Diploma or Trade Certificate in Electrical Maintenance field.
  • Holds a Schedule 26 Appointment Example: High Risk Basic Rigging (Desirable)
