About the role

We are looking for motivated, strategic and engaging individuals to join our team in the role of Superintendent Facilities Operations, based on site supporting our iron ore operations.
Facilities Operations works in partnership with our service providers to support the safe delivery of facilities management services in our villages, towns, ports, and mine sites. Through an outsourced integrated service model, we deliver accommodation, catering, cleaning, grounds, facilities maintenance, transport and airport services.
The Superintendent Facilities Operations will lead a team to support the delivery of facilities management services by focusing on safety, partnership, stakeholder engagement, and quality assurance. These roles are diverse in terms of scope and stakeholders, offering a unique opportunity to connect with all areas of the iron ore business.

What you’ll bring
Reporting to the Manager Facilities Operations, you will bring:
Confidence in leading, coaching and supporting team members
Well-developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Confidence to react and adapt priorities and work streams to meet business needs
Solid experience working in operational leadership roles
Experience working in collaborative partnerships
Demonstrated system and process improvements
Manual C Class driver's licence
It will also be beneficial if you have:
In-field safety experience and awareness of the Rio Tinto Iron Ore safety tools and processes
Front line management or other relevant leadership development qualifications
Bachelor level degree
Experience in managing teams across multiple geographical locations
Formal Qualifications in Facilties management
