About the role
We are seeking a motivated and engaging Superintendent Fixed Plant to lead a highly capable team and deliver cost-effective asset performance, through execution of asset health assessment, maintenance, planning, scheduling and shut down coordination.

The scope of work is as challenging as it is diverse. Success in this role will be contingent upon the effective engagement of and positive influence over key stakeholders, at all organisational levels. Leveraging the vast skillsets and extensive experience of your team, your focus will include but not be limited to:
- Leading the focus on sustaining and improving a strong safety culture throughout the site
- Leading, developing and coaching a multi-disciplined team of production and maintenance staff, coordinators and supervisors
- Identifying and managing asset risk, ensuring the right work is completed to maintain operational targets
- Ensuring that the fixed plant function is delivered in line with Rio Tinto best practice to maximise productivity and equipment reliability
- Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, supporting the team in the implementation of improvement initiatives and technical advances
- Developing and controlling approved budget to deliver cost effective services that meet the business needs while ensuring compliance with the relevant statutory legislative provision
Located 60km north-west of Tom Price, Brockman is wholly owned and operated by Rio Tinto. Opened in 2010, this open pit operation offers a family friendly fly in fly out roster.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will;
- Role model leadership qualities and be committed to ensuring the safety of yourself and your team
- Have people at the heart, fostering a respectful, inclusive and diverse work environment
- Have experience across either MEM, Fixed Plant or Wet & Dry plants with a strong focus on work management, shutdown management and defect elimination.
- Be able to develop, motivate, and mentor team members
- Have excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to lead through influence and be able to demonstrate problem-solving abilities in a collaborative environment
- Be flexible and agile, ready to change tack and adjust priorities in response to operational needs
