We are currently have a rare opportunity for an experienced Fleet Management Systems Superintendent to join our Production Team at Tropicana on an 4:3 or an 8:6 roster, flying in and out of Perth.
Reporting to Production Manager, FMS Superintendent is responsible for providing support to our operations teams by coordinating the actions of our Dispatch Team and maintaining excellent communication between departments.
Other duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring the dispatch operators are provided with required training and tools to perform their roles safely and efficiently;
- Model and promote behaviours in line with Macmahon values and Code of Conduct;
- Set clear job and behavioural performance expectations and provide informal, individual feedback to team members on the regular basis to assist them with completing jobs the required standard and in an acceptable timeframe;
- Ensuring effective and efficient mining methods are utilised on the daily basis;
- Validating the accuracy of reports generated by the team;
- Managing all cases of poor performance and escalating appropriately in collaboration with Macmahon practises;
- Fostering a positive and productive working relationship between team members across all other departments;
- Acting as a central communication point for mine production and safety, including emergency events; and
- Taking responsibility for overlooking department budget and meeting financial targets.
About you:
- Previous experience in a similar leadership role in a surface mining environment;
- Demonstrated in-depth understanding of Minestar or similar type Dispatch System;
- Great interpersonal and communication skills;
- Developed computer skills and familiarity with MS Office Suite;
- Demonstrating commitment to Macmahon safety culture and values; and
- Current C Class Drivers Licence.
As a part of the recruitment process for this role you may be required to complete a pre-employment medical, inclusive of laboratory drug and alcohol screen and complete a criminal history and qualification checks. Additionally you will must provide proof of working rights in Australia i.e. copy of valid Australian passport, birth certificate, citizenship certificate or current visa grant notification.
