About the Role

The Superintendent Governance provides multidisciplinary engineering leadership and governance to the Nickel West sites. You will act as a mentor and influential people leader to the team and wider engineering group whilst being an effective influencer of change throughout the business. 

This is a Perth based position offering exceptional levels of flexibility.

In this role you will:

  • Drive the Engineering Information Management within the group
  • Champion engineering effectiveness within Nickel West
  • Maintain strong working relationships with the wider stakeholder groups 
  • Lead engineering governance and assurance activities ensuring the project meets technical, functional, and business requirements
  • Drive ongoing improvement of the operation through identification and implementation of improvement initiatives
  • Support and facilitate multidisciplinary engineering activities across operations to ensure consistent fit for purpose engineering standards are applied and our Management of Change process is adhered to
  • Lead and coach individuals and teams, and providing a development environment for junior engineers

About You

  • Degree qualified with a solid understanding programs of governance
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments and influence at various levels within the organisation
  • Experience in a senior role with technical governance, engineering management, statutory compliance and risk management

  • Well-developed communication skills with an interest in providing technical leadership, stewardship, support and solutions
  • Ability to lead a team of professionals to deliver high quality, relevant outcomes

  • Leading by example; hold yourself and others accountable and coach others in Safety Leadership
