The Role
We are currently seeking a Human Resources and Training Superintendent to join our George Fisher Mine operations team. This is a residential role located in Mount Isa.
You will be reporting to the Zinc Mining Qld General Manager, with your accountability to provide support to the George Fisher Mine underground operations area, across the full suite of Human Resources systems and to provide support, coaching and advice to both operational leaders and a team of HR and Training professionals.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Providing advice regarding complex people related matters to the senior leadership team within the defined portfolio and supporting their own team with guidance and management of escalated cases
- Managing, supporting and developing a team of HR and Training professionals across a defined portfolio
- Managing high-volume/high-impact workloads, balancing complex stakeholder relationships within matrix structures, and coaching business leadership to enhance effectiveness in people- related activities
- Providing professional HR support across the employee lifecycle including recruitment/selection, on-boarding, performance, career development, progression and succession.
- Participating in multiple cross-functional initiatives, providing HR SME input and project leadership.
- Leading and implementing key internal projects and initiatives
- Influencing business outcomes through strategic HR service delivery
The successful applicants will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in HR or related discipline – with 8+yrs experience preferred
- Proven ability to effectively manage key stakeholders and influence when engaging with Leaders across the business
- Extensive years of experience in a Generalist HR role with site based HR experience in the resource sector preferable
- Extensive knowledge in ER and Australian Labour Law
