We are looking for a Learning and Development Superintendent to work within our aluminium assets located in the Gladstone region.
This role is a great opportunity to demonstrate your leadership in learning and development by developing the frontline capability of one of Rio Tinto’s key aluminium regions improving people experience, developing frontline individuals directly impacting safety and stability of our operations. Working a 9 day fortnight Monday to Friday and reporting to the Manager Learning Pacific Operations you will be:
- Responsible for the frontline competency training needs analysis, its design, maintenance, governance and delivery
- Responsible for the pre boarding to shift ready program and experience across the frontline and the onboarding experience for all newcomers to the refinery
- Responsible for continuously improving the approach to competency across the asset
- Responsible for the design and execution of the assets learning schedule across the asset for both frontline and professional training events
- Managing, leading and developing a team of L&D officers
- Building strong partnerships across both the assets people, specifically those relative to the frontline
- Delivering Learning & Development improvement projects collaboratively across the Pacific Operations Aluminium assets
About you

- Demonstrated ability to build capability within a team and provide succession planning
- Experience as a learning and development professional
- Experience in or around operational environments
- Experience in adapting to changing environments and business needs
